We all want to make money. But somehow many of us never end up making as much money as we wish. However, there are few people who have managed to make tonnes of money. So, it is nice to listen to them to hear how they managed to make so much money in their life time.
One of the persons who has managed to make much money is Tilman J. Fertitta, a Texas based billionaire and Landry’s Restaurants CEO who made a fortune selling shrimp at tourist-oriented chains which is solely owned by Fertitta.
Known for waiting to acquire businesses until their price hits rock bottom, Forbes puts Fertitta’s estimate networth at $2.6 billion.
He is referred to as the world’s richest restaurateur. He runs an empire of middle brow restaurants called Landry Restaurants, one of the largest restaurant chains in the US.
Speaking to Business Insider, a US based online magazine, Fertitta gave some advice on the biggest mistake you should never make if you want to be successful in life.
He said; “It’s never been easy, I could have thrown in the towel many times, in the beginning, OK.”
“Have I timed things wrong? 100 percent. Have I had missed opportunities? 100 percent, But I never made the biggest mistake people often make”
“The biggest mistake that people make is they give up too soon, and they throw in the towel,”
The human body, mind and heart can take a lot. Fight through bad times in business, and you will be surprised you can work through it”
“But people give up too soon, and they do not realize how much more they can put into it without giving up.”
Also Thomas C Corley, author of “Change your habits, Change your life” who researched rich people revealed another mistake rich people avoid. Business Insider reveals what Corley wrote in his book.
“Self-made millionaires are very particular about who they associate with,” Corley writes in his book, “Change Your Habits, Change Your Life.” “You are only as successful as those you frequently associate with. The rich are always on the lookout for individuals who are goal-oriented, optimistic, enthusiastic, and who have an overall positive mental outlook.”
He also reveals that rich people make it a point “to limit their exposure to toxic, negative people,”
“Long-term success is only possible when you have a positive mental outlook,” Corley states.
