The Digify Africa holds 3rd graduation ceremony for the third batch of 20 trainees who participated in its annua l training.
The event which held on Friday at the Facebook NG_hub, Yaba, Lagos, had the attendance of Kendra Nnachi of Facebook and Sanelisiwe Maliza of Digify Africa.
In her opening speech Nnachi said technology is moving in a way that is quite ridiculous. According to her, one has to keep being innovative to stay ahead of the game.
Florence Atunwa Olumodimu, project coordinator, DigifyNG said the first digify pro digital intensive bootcamp was on the 16thjuly, 2018 to September 6 2018.
“In this cohort, 20 participants, (13 males and 7 females) from esteemed Nigerian universities were provided with the most cutting edge digital skills,” she informed.
She explains that the essence of the training is to ensure that participants could get into the Marketing Communications industry with the right skills and trainings.
“ We are excited to have successfully started and completed the first, second and third cohort of DigifyPro in Nigeria,” she said.
She explains further that they are looking forward to DigifyPro Nigeria cohort 4.0 which will be the first in northern Nigeria and will hold in Abuja and cohort 5.0 which will hold in Lagos in the last quarter of 2019.
Falade Oluwasomidotun Kehinde who is a graduate of Babcock University said the program has been 8 weeks of intensive training because its not just about digital marketing but more about self branding.
“We were taught in the various aspect of Digital Marketing and at the end of it all most of us found our needs and those are the various areas that we discover our strength, he said.
On her own part, Motolani Babalola said 8 weeks of intensive training has been enlightening, expository as she has learnt so many things from hard skills to soft skills, meeting new people and learning how to relate with people.
“We also have the opportunity to see how the world is out there, what advertising agency is about and how much work needs to be done to give brands the right image and make the consumers love every brands,” she says.
She explains that during her course of internship, the blue bird communication located at Maryland gave her the privileged to work in their marketing communication department.
She also said that she has been a content writer, content creator and content strategist before Digify.
“ I was just a writer, but over the course of the program I have been able to develop my skills” she says.
