Livity Africa To Train 500 people On Digital Marketing In Lagos

Come Friday August 5, 2016, Livity Africa in conjunction with Google is billed to train more than 500 people on digital marketing in Lagos.

According to Florence Olumodimu, country manager, Livity Africa, Nigeria, the training is part of Google’s vision to train 250, 000 people in Nigeria on using technology for personal development.

“We deliver free digital marketing skills training to Nigerians of different socio-economic classes in line with the country’s vision to equip its youths with digital skills to enhance their employability and in a bid to empower entrepreneurs,” said Olumodimu.

She explained that between February 2016 and July 2016 over 13,000 individuals in Nigeria have benefited from this initiative and now have the basic understanding and skills on what Digital marketing is and how it can be used for business, school and life in general.

“Digify Bytes aims to help its participants to stand out from the crowd and provide better career opportunities for the future, she explained further.

“The digital age is expanding into all areas of our lives, and it is not just those who work in IT who will need to be aware of this change. In the modern workplace, digital marketing skills are highly valued, as it helps businesses understand and reach customers of which they had little or no access to in the past. This is an opportunity for corporate sponsors to be a part of this event.”

The #DigifyLagos event will hold at the Sheba Center, 20 Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way Ikeja, Lagos-Nigeria). This event will host past participants and a new set of training participants as the event will be for training and activities.

Olumodimu also said there will be loads of activities for all past attendees of Digify Bytes programme ranging from the #Digify Clinic #DigifyChallenge #Games #Play #MeetUp #Networking to a #Tweetathon just to mention a few.

“#DigifyClinic: There will be a digital clinic where Digify Bytes trainers will be available to answer anybody’s questions for 10 minutes, like a mini-consultation service.  Interested past participants will book a session by filling this out in the pre-registration form.

#DigifyChallenge: There will be a Digify Digital Challenge where some of the people who have previously attended a Digify Bytes session will be grouped in tens (nine students and one Digify Bytes trainer) and will be made to pitch for a digital marketing contract based on a company’s hypothetical brief that closely simulates an actual brief from an existing company. The winning team is to go home with a prize,” she said.
